Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g pasta (macaroni)
  • 125 g ham, finely diced
  • 4 eggs
  • 200 ml sour cream
  • 200 ml sweet cream
  • Herbs – Bouquet (parsley, marjoram, savory, chives and borage), mixed
  • Milk

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Cook the macaroni until al dente. Wash the macaroni, pat dry, finely chop, and whisk with the eggs and cream. Season generously with salt and pepper. Butter a baking dish, fill with a layer of macaroni, sprinkle with the ham, and top with the rest of the macaroni. Top with the egg and cream mixture, adding more milk if necessary; the macaroni should almost be covered. Sprinkle with breadcrumbs and dot with butter. Bake in a preheated oven at 175°C for 40 minutes. Bake for a little longer if necessary; the crumbs should be golden brown.
