with cheese crust

Sift together the flour and baking powder. Add the sugar and salt, and mix well. Add the milk and water and knead thoroughly. The dough should then be nice and elastic. Cut off nine equal pieces of dough. Shape them into balls and then roll them out longish. Press them down slightly to ensure the cheese stays on them and brush with a little milk. Make a lengthwise slit with a sharp knife, sprinkle with cheese, and press down gently. Preheat oven to 200°C (top/bottom heat). Place the dough pieces on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake on the middle rack for about 20 minutes. The cheese should then begin to brown.
