Autumn potato casserole

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 800 g jacket potatoes, peeled and sliced
  • 300 g apples, peeled and cut into wedges
  • 500 g pear(s), peeled and sliced
  • Butter for the mold
  • herbal salt
  • Pepper, freshly ground
  • 250 ml Cremefine
  • 2 eggs
  • curry powder
  • Paprika powder, sweet
  • 150 g Emmental cheese, grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Grease the casserole dish. Layer the potato, apple, and pear slices in a shingle-like pattern. Season each layer with salt and pepper. Whisk the Cremefine with the eggs, salt, pepper, and the remaining seasonings. Pour the egg mixture over the casserole and sprinkle with the cheese. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (400°F) on the middle rack for 30 minutes. If desired, the casserole can be served with meatballs or green spelt meatballs (see recipe), or simply on its own.
