Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 4 steaks, beef, approx. 200g
- 100 ml olive oil
- 10 peppercorns, crushed
- 1 bunch lavender, fresh, roughly chopped
- 1 cardamom (pod), crushed
- 4 grains allspice, crushed
- ½ tsp orange peel, grated
- ½ tsp lemon zest, grated
- salt and pepper
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest period approx. 1 day; Total time approx. 1 day 15 minutes
Mix the ingredients thoroughly and refrigerate in a covered container for 1 day. The next day, wash the steaks, pat them dry, and place them in a bowl. Pour the marinade through a sieve over the steaks, mix thoroughly, and refrigerate in a covered container for 1 day. Light the grill and grill the steaks over embers without flames. Season the finished steaks on plates with salt and pepper. Tip: You can also cook the steaks in a grill pan, but use a little oil and sear at very high temperatures.
