Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 500 g whole milk yogurt
- 200 g sour cream
- 500 ml water
- Salt
- lemon juice

Refreshing yogurt drink
Combine yogurt, sour cream (both chilled), a pinch of salt to taste, and a few drops of lemon juice to acidify the ayran in a bowl. Whisk until foamy, if possible, adding water (whisk works too). Add the maximum amount of water. It’s better to add a little more than too much, depending on the desired consistency of the ayran. Taste for flavor and add more salt, lemon, or water to taste. Once the ayran is nice and foamy, pour it into glasses, making sure everyone gets some of the foam. Very refreshing on hot days.
