Bacon and onion sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250 g potatoes
  • 750 ml milk
  • 250 g bacon, streaky
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • Sauce thickener

hearty, easy, quick & delicious

Peel and boil the potatoes. Meanwhile, finely dice the bacon and fry. Dice the onions and add them to the bacon in a deep pan until translucent. Once the bacon is nice and crispy and the onions are translucent, add the milk to the pan and simmer until the milk has taken on the color of the onions. Then season with salt and pepper and thicken with a sauce thickener. Done! This dish is one of the famous “poor man’s meals.”
