Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 1 pack of half and half dumplings
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 2 onions
  • 1 pack of diced raw ham
  • 2 packs of long-life cream
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • nutmeg
  • 2 tsp vegetable broth, instant
  • 150 ml water, hot

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Mix the dumpling powder with the egg, a little nutmeg, salt, and pepper according to the package instructions and let it sit for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, dice the onions and fry them with the ham cubes. Scoop dumplings with a tablespoon and place them in a baking dish. Distribute the bacon and onions on top. Dissolve the vegetable stock in the hot water and mix with the long-life cream. Season to taste with pepper, nutmeg, and salt (remember that the bacon is also salty), and pour over the dumplings. They should now be slightly covered. Bake in the oven for 40 to 45 minutes at 170°C (top/bottom heat) or 150°C (fan oven).
