Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes
Chop the onions and fry until lightly browned. Chop the bacon strips and fry until lightly browned. Put both in a large bowl. Chop the bell peppers into small pieces and add them. If you like, chop the tomatoes and add them too. Tomatoes are optional; it tastes great with or without them. Grate the cheese into the bowl, add the milk or cream, and stir until the liquid is distributed. Cut open the rolls and divide the mixture between the roll halves. This quantity is enough for about 2 packs of small rolls, or 12 rolls. Bake the roll halves in a preheated oven at 170°C fan/convection oven (190°C top and bottom heat) until the rolls are lightly browned. They are ideal as party pastries or as a simple dinner. Can be enjoyed cold or warm. Pizza rolls with a difference!
