Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 1 roll of topping dough
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- e.g. dried oregano
- 10 slices of bacon
- 1 egg yolk
- 3 tbsp milk
- e.g. sesame and black cumin
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
with puff pastry
Roll out the puff pastry and spread a thin layer of tomato paste. Sprinkle with some oregano. Place the bacon on top, then cut the puff pastry into strips. Fold each strip lengthwise and twist. Place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Beat the egg yolk with milk and brush the sticks with it. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and black cumin seeds. Bake in a preheated oven at 175°C (top/bottom heat) for about 15-20 minutes until golden brown. I made exactly 10 crispy sticks.
