Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 8 slices of breakfast bacon
- 16 pitted dates
- 2 garlic cloves, to taste
- 1 handful of sage leaves, to taste
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
Halve the bacon slices crosswise. Wrap one date in each half and secure with wooden skewers. If using, finely chop the garlic. Grill the bacon dates on aluminum grill trays on a hot grill for about 5 minutes until crispy. If desired, sprinkle the dates with garlic towards the end of the cooking time and add the sage leaves to the grill trays and briefly fry. Approx. 190 kcal per serving.
