Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 500 ml water, lukewarm
  • 21 g fresh yeast or 10 g dry yeast
  • 500 g flour
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 tsp salt
  • Flour for the work surface

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 15 minutes

Dissolve the yeast in lukewarm water and let it stand for 15 minutes. Add the salt, sugar, and flour and mix well. Cover and let the dough rise in a warm place for 90 minutes. Lightly dust the dough with flour on a well-floured work surface, divide it in half, and twist each half 2 to 3 times. Then place the dough pieces lengthwise on a baking sheet or baguette tray. Bake in a preheated oven at 240°C (top/bottom heat) for 25 minutes.
