baguette rolls

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 400 g flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 packet of dry yeast
  • 240 ml water, lukewarm
  • 2 tbsp oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 45 minutes

Put the flour, salt, and dry yeast in a bowl and mix everything well. Gradually add the oil and water, continuing to knead until the dough easily pulls away from the sides of the bowl. Divide the dough into three equal pieces, shape each into a baguette roll, and place them on a prepared baking sheet. Cover with a cloth (a kitchen towel that can withstand boiling is best), set in a warm place, and let rise for about an hour. The rolls should double in size. Now make two or three diagonal cuts in the surface of the roll with a knife, brush with water, and place in a cold oven. At the same time, fill a heatproof container with boiling water and place it on the bottom. Bake at 200°C (top/bottom heat: 180°C) for about 30 minutes until golden brown. Then let cool on the baking rack.
