Baileys Layered Dessert

The perfect baileys layered dessert recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 glass Sour cherries
  • 1 pack Custard powder
  • 100 g Amarettini
  • 150 ml Baileys
  • 250 ml Cremefine cream for whipping
  • 250 g Lean quark or alternatively mascarpone
  • 1 shot Sparkling water
  • 150 g Natural yoghurt
  • 100 g Powdered sugar
  1. Drain the sour cherries while collecting the juice. Remove 5 tablespoons of the juice and stir with the pudding powder until smooth. Bring the remaining juice to the boil in a small saucepan, then stir in the mixed pudding powder, bring to the boil and then simmer for about 1 minute, stirring constantly. Remove from the stove, add the cherries, stir and let cool.
  1. Mix the low-fat quark with a little mineral water. Stir in the yogurt, powdered sugar and Baileys. Whip the cream until stiff and fold in carefully. Roughly crumble the amarettini.
  1. Layer the dessert in beautiful glasses. I proceeded in the following order: First some cream, on top a layer of biscuits, on top a layer of cherries, then some cream, then biscuits, cherries and cream on top. Finally, decorate with a few cookie crumbs.
