Dessert: Amarettini and Hazelnut Layered Cream with Mandarins

The perfect dessert: amarettini and hazelnut layered cream with mandarins recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

For decoration:

  • 50 g Nougat chocolate
  • 20 Giotto (hazelnut biscuit balls with cream filling)
  • 2 Cans Mandarin oranges + 3 tbsp of the juice
  • 500 g Lowfat quark
  • 80 g Cream
  • 1 tsp Freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1,5 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Hazelnut syrup
  • 3 tbsp Chopped almonds
  • 4 Mandarin oranges
  • 8 Giotto balls with hazelnut
  1. Crush the amarettini and nougat chocolate in the food processor. Mash the 20 Giotto with a fork. Drain the mandarin oranges, collecting 3 tablespoons of the juice (put four mandarin oranges aside to garnish). Roast the chopped almonds in a pan until golden brown and leave to cool.
  2. Put the quark in a bowl. Add the cream, amarettini, chocolate, Giottomasse, mandarin juice, lime juice, sugar and syrup. Mix everything into a smooth cream.
  3. Put almost half of the ground amarettini in a bowl. Spread about half of the mandarin oranges over it, then half of the curd cream. Keep doing this until you have used all of the ingredients. Finish with the quark cream.
  4. Decorate with the roasted almonds, remaining mandarin oranges and Giotto balls, and leave to steep for about 10 minutes. Serve and enjoy. Have fun trying :-)!
