The perfect baileys ring cake recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

molding

  • 300 g Sugar
  • 2 packet Vanilla sugar
  • 4 Eggs
  • 50 g Dark chocolate, grated
  • 300 g Flour
  • 1 packet Baking powder
  • 50 g Baking cocoa
  • 200 ml Baileys
  • 200 g Dark chocolate
  • 0,5 tsp Sunflower oil
  1. Grease the gugelhupf tin (approx. 2 l content) and sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Preheat the oven to 175 ° C.
  2. Mix the butter, sugar and vanilla sugar until creamy. Stir in eggs one at a time. Stir in the grated chocolate. Mix the flour, baking powder and cocoa together. Mix in alternately with Baileys.
  3. Spread the dough into the greased Gugelhupf pan. Bake in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes. Let the cake cool down for approx. 10 minutes. Then turn out of the mold and let cool down on a wire rack.
  4. Divide 4,200 g of dark chocolate into pieces. Melt with oil in a hot water bath. Allow to cool slightly. Spread the chocolate on the cake with a tablespoon. To do this, place baking paper or a kitchen towel under the wire rack so that the dripping chocolate will be caught and it will be cleaner. Let the iced cake dry for at least 1 hour in a cool place.
