Bake Your Own Hamburger Buns with Sesame Seeds

  • 400 g Aurora wheat flour type 550
  • 0,5 cube Fresh yeast
  • 3 tsp Butter
  • 2 tsp Sugar
  • 1,5 tsp Salt
  • 160 ml Water
  • 50 ml Milk
  • 2 Free range eggs
  1. Weigh or have all of the above ingredients ready. In a bowl – add the crumbling yeast, sugar, 1 tablespoon flour and approx. 50 ml each of lukewarm water and milk, stir well. Cover and leave to stand for approx. 10 minutes.
  2. First put 2/3 of the flour of the added amount into the mixing bowl and make a well. Add yeast. Let the food processor run with the dough hook.
  3. Beat the egg, whisk. Warm the water with butter up to approx. 37 ° C. Add the mixture, salt, egg and the remaining flour in portions and knead into a sticky dough, or until the dough comes off the edge of the bowl. (Duration approx. 8 min.) Then knead the dough on the floured worktop, pulling it from the outside to the inside, and shape it into a ball. Cover and let rise in a warm place. When the volume has doubled, place on the floured worktop and knead briefly with your hands.
  4. Then divide into 9 equal portions and shape / grind into round vouchers with floured hands until tension is created on the surface and place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Cover and let rise for approx. 10-15 minutes. Open the egg – brush the buns all around and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  5. Preheat mini oven to 200 ° C top / bottom heat with circulating air. Bake the receipts in the preheated oven for approx. 20 minutes until the surface is golden brown. Take out and let cool on a rack.
