Ingredients for 12 servings:
- 12 apples, sour – e.g. Boskop
- 300 ml oat flakes, fine
- 150 ml sugar, brown
- 150 g butter, salted
- Cinnamon powder
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
Finnish style
Peel and core the apples, and quarter or eighth them, depending on their size. Arrange them in a greased baking dish. Melt the butter and sugar in a saucepan until foamy. Add the oats and a pinch of cinnamon, stir well, and spread the mixture over the apples. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 15 minutes, then cover with aluminum foil or a lid and bake for another 30-45 minutes. Serve with vanilla sauce.
