- 30 g almond flakes
- 1 pack of sauce powder (vanilla sauce for cooking with 1/2 l milk)
- 3 tbsp sugar
- ½ liter of milk
- powdered sugar
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
for the cold season
Knead the butter with 100g sugar, salt, vanilla sugar, spelt flour, and spelt bran to form crumbles. Wash the apples, dry them, and core them. Sprinkle the apples with lemon juice to prevent them from browning. Grease a baking dish, place the apples in it, and spread the crumble on top. Bake in a preheated oven at 175°C (150°C fan oven) for 25-30 minutes. Sprinkle the almonds on top 10 minutes before the end of the baking time. Meanwhile, mix the sauce powder with 3 tablespoons of sugar and 6 tablespoons of milk until smooth. Bring the rest of the milk to a boil, stir in the sauce powder, cook for another minute, and let the sauce cool slightly. Remove the baked apple crumble from the oven and serve dusted with powdered sugar. Serve with the vanilla sauce.
