Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 apples, sour
  • lemon juice
  • 25 g pistachios
  • 25 g pine nuts
  • 125 g marzipan
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 40 g cream
  • 75 g rum raisins
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 125 ml white wine
  • 125 ml Marsala
  • 65 ml orange liqueur
  • Fat for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Wash the apples, pat dry, and halve them. Cut out the cores and immediately drizzle the halves with lemon juice. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Chop the pistachios and pine nuts, mix them with the marzipan, egg yolks, and cream until smooth, and stir in the raisins. Grease an ovenproof dish, place the apples in it, and pour over the white wine, Marsala, and orange liqueur. Bake in the preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for about 15 minutes. Then pour the marzipan mixture over the apples and bake for another 6 to 8 minutes. Serve the apples and cover with the sauce.
