Baked Brussels sprouts

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg Brussels sprouts
  • Salt, nutmeg
  • 5 g butter
  • 100 g smoked bacon
  • 125 g cheese (Emmental)
  • 200 g crème fraîche
  • 4 tbsp white wine
  • 1 egg(s)
  • pepper
  • 30 g breadcrumbs
  • 20 g almonds
  • 20 g butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Clean the Brussels sprouts and cook them in salted water for about 10 minutes. Drain and season with nutmeg. Place them in a greased dish with the bacon cubes. Mix the cheese with the crème fraîche, wine, egg, and nutmeg. Season with salt and pepper. Pour everything over the Brussels sprouts. Mix the breadcrumbs and almonds, sprinkle over the top, and place knobs of butter on top. Bake at 180°C for about 30 minutes.
