Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 ½ kg carp
- 100 g bacon, lean
- 1 m.-sized onion(s)
- 100 g butter for butter flakes
- salt and pepper

Family recipe
Cut the bacon into strips. Line a roasting pan with alternating strips of bacon and butter flakes. Rub the carp inside and out with salt, then place it on the bacon and butter flakes. Alternate the bacon strips and butter flakes over the carp. Place the peeled onion whole next to it. Bake for approximately 45 minutes in a preheated oven at medium heat (approx. 160–175°C). Serve with sauerkraut and boiled potatoes.
