Baked cauliflower

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 cauliflower
  • 200 g cooked ham
  • 300 g Gouda in one piece
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • n. B. Nutmeg
  • e.g. paprika powder
  • 1 n. B. chili powder
  • e.g. Worcestershire sauce

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Cut the cauliflower into small to medium florets and cook for a maximum of 10 minutes. Add the tablespoon of salt. Drain well and spread while still warm(!) on a prepared baking sheet. Sprinkle with nutmeg and chili. Cut the cooked ham into suitable pieces (it’s best to quarter the round slices) and place them on the cauliflower florets. Then add pieces of Gouda cheese (it’s best to use a piece of cheese and thicker slices/pieces so it doesn’t run down too much during baking). Place the baking sheet upstairs in the oven and immediately turn on the broiler function. After 5-7 minutes, depending on the desired degree of browning, the meal is ready. Season with nutmeg, paprika, chili, and Worcestershire sauce, if desired.
