Baked cheese and pear fritters

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg potato(s), waxy
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 egg(s)
  • salt and pepper
  • 3 tbsp clarified butter
  • 2 pears, ripe
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 150 g blue cheese (e.g. Bavaria blu)
  • 100 g cranberries from the jar

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Small treat or appetizer

Peel and wash the potatoes. Peel the onion. Coarsely grate both (best in a food processor) and mix with the egg, salt, and pepper. Heat the clarified butter in batches in a large pan. Bake 10-12 fritters from the mixture and place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Wash, quarter, core, and very thinly slice or slice the pears. Drizzle with lemon juice and spread over the fritters. Finely dice the cheese and sprinkle over the fritters. Bake the fritters in a preheated oven at 225°C, fan oven 200°C, gas mark 4 for 5-7 minutes until golden brown. Serve with cranberries.
