Baked cream cheese bread slices with tomatoes and bacon

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 slices of bread
  • 1 large tomato(s)
  • 50 g bacon, diced
  • 2 gherkins
  • 100 g cream cheese with herbs
  • some Gouda, grated
  • some basil

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 8 minutes; Total time approx. 38 minutes

quick, warm dinner

Preheat the oven to 200°C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Halve the bread slices, fry them in a pan, and spread with the cream cheese. Heat a second pan on the stovetop, then fry the bacon cubes until crispy, then remove from the heat. Dice the tomatoes, slice the cucumbers, and add them to the bacon cubes. Spread the mixture on the prepared bread. Sprinkle with Gouda cheese and basil. Place the bread on a baking sheet and bake in the oven at 180°C fan/convection oven for 6-8 minutes. Enjoy while still warm.
