  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup milk
  • Jam (cranberry jam)
  • Fat for frying or deep-frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Whisk the egg and milk in a soup bowl. Pour the flour into a second soup bowl. Pour the breadcrumbs into a third soup bowl. Cut the Emmental cheese into medium-sized pieces and bread them in the order of flour, egg, and breadcrumbs. Heat fat in a saucepan or preheat a deep fryer. When the fat is hot enough, add the breaded Emmental pieces and fry until golden brown – this takes about 5 minutes. Drain the fried pieces on kitchen paper and serve with cranberry jam.
