Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 400 g sheep’s cheese
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp paprika powder, mild
- 2 cloves garlic
- 3 tomatoes
- 2 peppers, pickled
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes
Line each serving with two pieces of aluminum foil (approx. 30×30 cm) and drizzle lightly with olive oil. Divide the feta cheese (200g pack) into portions and lightly rub or sprinkle paprika on both sides. Place each portion lengthwise on the foil (lengthwise because the foil will be folded over at the end, making it easier to serve). Place sliced tomatoes and grated garlic on top, then a chili pepper on top, followed by the remaining olive oil (no salt – because of the cheese). The oil adds flavor and harmonizes with the cheese, preventing it from sticking to the foil! Finally, carefully fold the foil over the cheese and pull it together slightly at the sides (almost like a small cracker!). Cook in the oven at 200°C for about 15-20 minutes. Serve with fresh baguette and perhaps a small salad. This simple recipe can be modified to suit your own taste, e.g., using onions instead of garlic, or hot chili peppers, herbs, etc. It can be prepared very well.
