Baked fish fingers

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 20 fish sticks
  • ½ pack of cream cheese with herbs
  • 1 jar mushrooms, preferably fresh ones (approx. 250 g)
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 2 cups of cream
  • 150 ml white wine
  • Butter or margarine
  • salt and pepper
  • Broth (instant)
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • Cheese (gratin cheese)

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Dice the onion and sauté in butter (margarine), add the mushrooms, season with salt and pepper. Meanwhile, heat the cream in a saucepan. Deglaze the mushrooms with wine and reduce, then add them to the cream and let it reduce slightly. Season to taste with Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Meanwhile, fry the fish fingers in a pan until golden brown. Place the fried fish fingers in a greased baking dish, covering the bottom. You can try it from frozen. Then pour the mushroom and cream mixture over the fish fingers. Sprinkle the whole thing with the gratin cheese and bake in the oven at approx. 200°C for 20 minutes. The whole thing should take on a beautiful golden brown color.
