Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 6 leeks
  • 12 slices of ham
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 150 ml milk
  • 250g Gorgonzola
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp Gorgonzola, grated
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 28 minutes; Total time approx. 43 minutes

Trim the leeks, cook for 8 minutes, drain, halve, and wrap each with a slice of ham. Then place in a greased dish. Heat the butter, sauté the flour, add the milk while stirring, and simmer for 5 minutes. Add the Gorgonzola to the sauce, melt, and season with salt, pepper, and lemon juice. Pour the sauce over the leeks and bake at 250°C (top/bottom heat) for about 20 minutes. Sprinkle with grated cheese shortly before the end of the cooking time. Parsley potatoes or ciabatta bread are suitable side dishes.
