Baked Maultaschen with meatballs.

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 packs of Maultasche(s)
  • 500 g tomato sauce
  • 300 g minced meat
  • 1 medium-sized onion(s), finely chopped
  • 4 tbsp oil
  • 1 egg(s)
  • some breadcrumbs
  • Spices)
  • 150 g cheese, grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Sauté the onions in oil, add the tomato sauce, and simmer. Season to taste. Mix the minced meat with the egg, breadcrumbs, and seasonings to taste, and form into meatballs. Place the meatballs in the sauce and simmer for about 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 180°C (convection oven). Grease a baking dish, layer the Maultaschen, and pour the sauce and meatballs on top. Sprinkle with cheese and bake for about 30 minutes.
