Baked meatloaf

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 slices of meatloaf, approx. 1 cm thick
  • 4 beefsteak tomatoes
  • 4 slices of Gouda, medieval
  • salt and pepper
  • Butter for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Brown the meatloaf in butter. In the meantime, slice the washed tomatoes. Layer the tomato slices on each slice of meatloaf. Season with salt and pepper, and place a slice of cheese on top. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 10 minutes, until the cheese melts and has taken on a light brown color. Serve with a leaf salad and toasted white bread.
