Baked milk slice

Spread the love

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 3 portions of dough (blanks for buttermilk rolls, e.g. from Knack & Back)
  • 3 milk slices, from the refrigerated counter

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

three sweet breakfast rolls

Preheat the oven to 170°C (top/bottom heat). Roll out the three dough balls large enough to wrap a Milchschnitt (milk slice). Fold the dough around the narrow sides of the Milchschnitt (milk slice) first, then the long sides. Make sure the ends overlap slightly and press them together to prevent leakage. Place the filled rolls seam-side down on a baking rack lined with baking paper and place in the hot oven. Make sure you stay with them, as they need to be turned every 5 minutes to ensure all four sides are browned. Other ovens may vary from my baking time, so it’s important to check. 1 roll has 235 kcal.
