Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 slice(s) pork (pork loin)
  • 4 slices of cooked ham
  • 4 slices of cheddar cheese
  • 1 onion(s), finely chopped
  • 200 ml meat broth
  • 400 g cream
  • some sunflower oil
  • Pepper, ground
  • Salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

First, preheat the oven to 180°C (top/bottom heat). Season the meat, which should have reached room temperature, with salt and pepper and sear it in a very hot pan with a little sunflower oil for 1.5 minutes on each side. Meanwhile, finely chop the onion and then place the meat in a casserole dish. Reduce the heat slightly. Add the chopped onion to the pan and sauté while stirring, then deglaze with the meat stock and add the cream. Thoroughly loosen the pan juices and reduce the sauce until it reaches a slightly creamy consistency. Top the meat with ham and cheese. Now add the sauce to the meat and return the whole thing to the oven for 10 minutes. Finally, season the sauce with salt and pepper. French fries or other potato dishes are suitable as a side dish.
