Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 slices of whole-grain toast
  • 1 tsp, heaped butter
  • 2 g basil, fresh
  • 1 slice(s) of cooked ham
  • 2 tomato slices
  • Salt and pepper, black
  • 4 slices of mozzarella
  • 4 basil leaves
  • 1 slice(s) cheese, variety of your choice

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

with ham, tomato, mozzarella and basil

Place the butter in a shallow dish. Wash and finely chop 2 g of basil, and mix with the butter. Preheat the oven to 200°C (top/bottom heat). Spread both slices of toast with the basil butter. Fold the cooked ham into a triangle and place it on a slice of bread. Arrange the tomato slices on top of the ham, season with salt and pepper. Arrange four slices of mozzarella on top of the tomato, then place a basil leaf on each slice. Cover with the second slice of toast and place the cheese slice on top. Bake in the hot oven for 10 minutes. A wonderfully moist sandwich. The baked sandwich has approximately 490 kcal.
