Baked schnitzel with hollandaise sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 schnitzels
  • 1 can peach(s), halved
  • 500 g mushrooms, fresh
  • 1 onion(s), finely chopped
  • 300 ml Hollandaise sauce, e.g. according to a recipe from the database
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • Mustard

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes

Halve the schnitzel, season with salt, pepper, and paprika, and spread with mustard. Brown in a pan with oil until hot, then remove and transfer to a casserole dish. Sauté the onions, add the mushrooms, and cook until the liquid has evaporated. Meanwhile, slice the canned peaches and place them on top of the schnitzel. Spread the onion and mushroom mixture over the schnitzel and then top with hollandaise sauce. Bake in a preheated oven at approximately 200°C (top/bottom heat) for about 20 minutes.
