Baked spaghetti nests

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 400g spaghetti
  • Salt
  • Cayenne pepper
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 3 tomatoes
  • 1 stalk(s) leek
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 300 g minced beef
  • 125g mozzarella
  • some basil

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Cook the spaghetti in salted water until al dente. Crush the garlic. Deseed and dice the tomatoes, and finely slice the leek. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the garlic and minced meat until browned and crumbly. Add the tomatoes and leek and fry for a few more minutes. Pour in 200ml of water, bring to a boil, and season with salt and cayenne pepper. Chop the basil and stir in. Slice the mozzarella. Shape the spaghetti into nests, place them in a baking dish, and spread some of the minced meat sauce on top. Top each nest with mozzarella. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C, fan oven 175°C, gas mark 3 for about 15 minutes.
