Baking: De Luxe Marble Cake
The perfect baking: de luxe marble cake recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 250 g Butter – not margarine
- 300 g Sugar
- 1 tablespoon Vanilla sugar, homemade
- 6 piece Eggs – Marianne was hardworking
- 1 pinch Salt
- 375 g Flour
- 0,5 packet Backpluver
- 100 ml Cream 10% fat, at least
- 2 piece Vanilla pods
- 100 g Couverture whole milk
- Fat and crumbs for the mold
- Mix the softened butter with sugar, vanilla sugar, salt and eggs until frothy. Add flour and baking powder and mix well. Add the cream until a smooth, heavy batter is formed.
- Now divide the dough. Slit the vanilla pods lengthways and scrape out the pulp with a knife. Mix this with part of the dough and pour into a greased and crumbled bundt cake pan.
- Crush the couverture and dissolve it in a water bath (not over 38 degrees) and mix the second part of the dough with it.
- Spread the dark dough over the light one and pull a fork through both layers of dough in a spiral.
- Bake the cake in the preheated oven at 180 degrees lower / upper heat for about 50 minutes. (Chopstick sample)
- After cooling, cover with either chocolate icing or powdered sugar.
- My uncle loves the cake and prefers to eat it on a sandwich. (!)
