Baking in Advent: Apple Pyramid
The perfect baking in advent: apple pyramid recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 6 plates Frozen puff pastry, rectangular
- 750 g Apples, coarsely grated
- 1 teaspoon Cinammon
- 3 tablespoon Sugar
- 50 g Raisins
- 200 g Almond sticks
- 250 g Quark lean
- 250 g Mascarpone
- 2 tablespoon Sugar
- 2 cl Rum
- Steam the roughly sliced apples with sugar and without water until soft and season with cinnamon.
- Roll out the defrosted puff pastry sheets under cling film and spread a strand of the apple mixture on top. Scatter raisins and a few almond sticks on top and roll up.
- Place the paper with the opening facing down on a sheet lined with foil and bake at 175 degrees convection until the dough begins to take on color.
- Mix the quark with the mascarpone, sugar and rum.
- Now place three of the apple rolls on a cake plate and spread some of the quark cream on them.
- Place the next two rolls in the gaps, proceed as above and finish with the last roll as the tip.
- Cover this pyramid with the quark cream.
- Brown the remaining almonds with a little sugar in a pan and sprinkle the cake with it. Chill until ready to eat.
