Balsamic reduction

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 ml balsamic vinegar
  • 500 ml red wine, dry
  • 500 ml honey

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Boil all ingredients in a non-stick pan until reduced by about 1/3. It’s ready. While the reduction is still hot, you’ll think it’s too runny; it will harden as it cools. White balsamic vinegar and dry white wine create a light-colored reduction. I pour it into mustard bottles, like the ones you’d find at a snack bar, so it’s easy to measure out the amount.
