Ingredients for 6 servings:
- 6 croissants (Bamberger butter croissants)
- 200 g quark
- 100 g sugar
- 40 g vanilla sugar
- 2 eggs
- 200 g butter, liquid
Instructions
Working time approx. 25 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes
Grease a baking dish with butter and sprinkle with sugar. Tear the buttered croissants into pieces and arrange them in the dish. Prepare a glaze with the remaining ingredients. Spread over the croissants and let them stand for about 1/2 hour. Bake in the oven at 175°C for about 30-35 minutes, until the quark mixture is no longer runny but firm enough to slice. Serve warm or cold with ice cream or whipped cream.
