Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 6 rolls, from the day before
  • 4 apples, sour
  • 1 lemon(s), the juice
  • 80 g sugar
  • 80 g raisins
  • 750 ml milk
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 packets of vanilla sugar
  • 100 g butter
  • 1 tbsp powdered sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Cut the rolls into 1 cm thick slices. Peel and core the apples, cut them into wedges, and drizzle with lemon juice. Mix 50 g of sugar and raisins. Dip the rolls in milk, layer them with the apples in a greased baking dish, sprinkle with sugar and raisins, and cover with the rolls. Preheat oven to 180 °C (160 °C fan-assisted oven). Mix the remaining milk, eggs, vanilla sugar, 30 g of sugar, and 75 g of melted butter and pour over the rolls. Top with the remaining butter in small pieces and bake for 30 minutes. Dust with powdered sugar.
