Banana wrapped in ham with curry sauce

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 3 bananas
  • 6 slices of cooked ham
  • 2 tbsp mustard, medium hot
  • 3 tbsp oil, neutral (e.g. rapeseed oil)
  • 20 g butter
  • 100 ml cream
  • ½ tsp curry powder
  • n. B. Salt and pepper, black, from the mill
  • ½ tsp sugar
  • some water

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Peel the bananas and halve them crosswise. Spread the mustard on the ham slices and wrap the banana halves in it. Secure with toothpicks. Heat oil and butter in a pan and slowly fry the bananas. The ham should be lightly browned and the bananas soft. For the sauce, mix the cream with curry powder, pepper, salt, and sugar, thinning with a little water if necessary. Remove the bananas from the pan and keep warm. Add the cream mixture to the pan juices and bring to a boil. Arrange the bananas and sauce on warmed plates and serve. Serve with rice.
