Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g butter or margarine
  • 250 g sugar
  • 125 g flour
  • 125 g cornstarch
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 pack of flavoring (Citroback)
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 150 g powdered sugar
  • 4 tbsp lemon juice
  • Fat and breadcrumbs for the form

My childhood favorite cake

Pour softened butter into a bowl. Add the Citroback, sugar, eggs, cornstarch, flour, and baking powder, and mix everything thoroughly with a mixer on high speed. Mixing time: approximately 2 minutes. Pour the batter into a greased, breadcrumb-lined 30 cm loaf pan and bake in a preheated oven (electric oven: approximately 175-200 degrees Celsius, 75-90 minutes). The cake is piping hot when nothing sticks to it when inserted with a skewer. For the glaze, mix the powdered sugar and lemon juice until smooth. After baking, leave the cake in the pan, spread the glaze over the hot cake, let it cool, and remove from the pan.
