Basil Burger with Tomatoes

The perfect basil burger with tomatoes recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 2 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 tsp Brown sugar
  • 0,5 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 500 g Ground beef
  • 1 bunch Basil
  • 1 Egg yolk
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 Tomatoes, chopped
  • 4 Spring onions, cut into rings
  • 1 bullet Mozzarella, cut into pieces
  • 4 Rolls, cut open, toasted
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  1. Bring the vinegar, sugar and mustard seeds to the boil in a small saucepan and simmer for 1 minute, remove from the heat and allow to cool.
  2. Mix the mince, basil and egg yolks together and season well with salt and pepper. 4 form burgers out of them.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoons of oil in a pan and fry the burgers for about 3 minutes on each side until they are browned but still pink on the inside.
  4. Mix the tomatoes and spring onions with the vinegar. Place the burgers in the buns, pour the mozzarella and tomato mixture over them and serve.
