Basil Burger with Tomatoes

Ingredients
 

  • 2 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 tsp Brown sugar
  • 0,5 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 500 g Ground beef
  • 1 bunch Basil
  • 1 Egg yolk
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 Tomatoes, chopped
  • 4 Spring onions, cut into rings
  • 1 ball Mozzarella, cut into pieces
  • 4 Rolls, cut open, toasted
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Bring the vinegar, sugar and mustard seeds to the boil in a small saucepan and simmer for 1 minute, remove from the heat and allow to cool.
  • Mix the mince, basil and egg yolks together and season well with salt and pepper. 4 form burgers out of them.
  • Heat 1 tablespoons of oil in a pan and fry the burgers for about 3 minutes on each side until they are browned but still pink on the inside.
  • Mix the tomatoes and spring onions with the vinegar. Place the burgers in the buns, pour the mozzarella and tomato mixture over them and serve.
