Basil butter with onions and tomato paste from the Thermomix

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g butter
  • 200 g tomato paste, triple concentrated
  • 2 onions
  • 1 bunch of basil
  • 2 tbsp chives, fresh
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper, freshly ground
  • 1 tsp paprika powder, hot

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes

Chop the onions and halved garlic cloves for 5 seconds on speed 5. Add the basil, chives, salt, pepper, and paprika. Set the blender to speed 5 for 5 seconds. Add the tomato paste and the cold butter in chunks and blend for 10 seconds on speed 5. You should still be able to see chunks of butter, so use refrigerated butter.
