Basil-Parmesan salt

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g sea salt, coarse
  • 3 tbsp Parmesan, finely grated
  • 20 g basil, dried

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes

Gift from the kitchen

Place the Parmesan on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and dry in the oven at 50 degrees Celsius. Stir occasionally. Once the Parmesan is thoroughly dry, transfer it to a bowl and let it cool. Add the salt and basil and mix well. Store in an airtight jar. The salt tastes great with chicken, fish, pasta, and rice dishes. If you prefer a finer salt, combine the salt, Parmesan, and basil in a food processor and grind the mixture.
