Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 bunches of basil
  • 1 liter vinegar (white wine vinegar)

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest period approx. 14 days; Total time approx. 14 days 10 minutes

Rinse the basil and pat dry, place it in a jar, and fill with white wine vinegar. Seal the bottle. Let the vinegar stand in a well-chilled place for at least 14 days. The vinegar will turn red, which is completely normal. Then filter, pour into prepared bottles, seal, and store in a cool place. The basil vinegar is especially delicious with tomato salad, green salad, and eggplant dishes.
