Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g minced meat, mixed
  • 1 roll(s), stale
  • some milk
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 1 tsp, heaped tomato paste
  • 2 tsp, heaped mustard, medium hot
  • 1 egg(s)
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • marjoram
  • Clarified butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Soak the stale roll in milk. Add the egg, the soaked and well-squeezed roll, the diced onion, tomato paste, medium-hot mustard, pepper, salt, a little marjoram, and a crushed garlic clove to the minced meat mixture. Knead the mixture well and season to taste. Then form the dumplings and place them in a hot pan. Fry in clarified butter for about 15 minutes, turning frequently and not over too high a heat. Serve with: Bavarian potato salad, fried potatoes, mashed potatoes, or French fries.
