Bavarian-style meatballs

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 250 g minced meat, mixed or just beef
  • 1 m.-sized egg(s)
  • 1 small onion(s)
  • 3 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • Paprika powder, hot
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Finely dice the onions, mix with the ground beef and egg. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Now add enough breadcrumbs until the mixture no longer feels wet and holds together (at least 3 tablespoons). Form flat patties (you will make about 4-5 patties), each 6-7 cm in diameter. Heat butter in a pan, fry the patties briefly on one side until browned, turn them over, and fry again. Fry uncovered for about 10 minutes, turning frequently. Then put the lid on the pan and continue frying at low heat for about 10 minutes. The patties can be turned over once during this time. Serve with potato salad or Brussels sprouts with bacon.
