Bavarian Potato Salad

The perfect bavarian potato salad recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 kg Triplets
  • Salt
  • 1 tbsp Caraway seed
  • 400 ml Beef broth
  • Black pepper from the mill
  • 1 tbsp Lion mustard, medium
  • 1 shot Red wine vinegar
  • 1 pinch Sugar
  • 125 g Bacon cubes, fried crispy
  • 3 tbsp Onion cubes
  • 1 casket Cress (garden cress)
  1. Boil the potatoes in a saucepan with salt and caraway seeds for a good 20 minutes and peel them while still hot, cut into thin slices and place in a saucepan.
  2. While the potatoes are cooking, prepare the marinade. Mix the hot broth, salt, pepper, mustard, vinegar and sugar together.
  3. Now put the hot potato slices cut into slices in the bowl and mix again and again.
  4. Now put the onions and crispy fried bacon in the bowl and mix well. Let the salad soak through now. Before serving, add the fresh cress and mix. There is also Leberkäse with it
