Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 1 liter of Coke
  • 800 ml tomato(s), strained
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika powder (Pimenton de la Vera)
  • 1 tsp curry powder
  • 1 tsp ginger powder
  • ½ tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1 pinch of nutmeg
  • 1 tsp garlic granules
  • 5 tsp soy sauce, dark
  • 4 tsp Tabasco
  • 2 tsp liquid smoke

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Ideal for grilling

Sauté the finely chopped onions in a pan with a little oil. Then add the cola and simmer until the cola has reduced by a third. Stir continuously while reducing. Now stir in the passata and seasonings and bring back to a boil. After 5 minutes of cooking, pour the sauce into ketchup bottles.
